Whether singing the ancient Sanskrit mantras of India, the traditional folklore songs of South America, or performing his original works of divine inspiration, Shimshai's music invokes a sentiment of ancestral devotion and a dedication to higher consciousness. A self-proclaimed seeker of truth, described by many as possessing the voice of an angel, Shimshai is gifted with the innate ability to deliver his message flawlessly in several languages, most profoundly the universal language of Love and Oneness. His unique blend of reggae, jazz, kirtan, and folk, infused with a worldbeat influence, provides a diverse palette of musical expression and attracts a wide range of listeners. Jaya Lakshmi (lead signer of Lost At Last) from Eugene will be singing backup vocals, gracing us with her angelic voice. Hari and friends will be opening the show with an eclectic mix of Hari's original conscious, rock, reggae, and world music tunes. And Sasha Rose will be lighting up the late night with her special electronica set. Sasha brings a unique original sound to her dj sets. She creates luscious soundscapes and deep bass lines all bridged by her live soulful angelic voice and flute playing. Playing off ableton live, she creates a collage of different sounds and rhythms with deep lyrical content. She has performed with many live electronic acts including Members of String Cheese Incident, Zilla, Lynx and Jamie Janover, Random Rab, Anasia, Goddess Alchemy Project, and many more. She has been touring extensively for ten years, and brings all the flavors of her experience to the stage. Sasha Rose will take you on an unforgettable musical journey.
