Resolved Question: Whats a good age to read Dantes Inferno?

Is 8th grade too young? that's when I initially read it but I don't think I truly understood it at that age. Im now a junior and think that I might read it during my short flight down to Medford, Oregon tomorrow. Now, 3 years later, do you think that I will be able to comprehend it and truly understand it? I'm kinda into epic poetry at the moment having recently obtained copies of The Iliad and The Odyssey. @Fighting angel Sounds interesting, I'll look for it. Norse Mythology right?
